WINTER BREAK REGISTRATION OPENS ON MONDAY

These 2 hour daily clinics will focus on fundamental instruction, drills and instructional scrimmage.

When: December 22-23, 2008 and December 29-30, 2008

Where: St. Pete Beach, Clearwater and Seminole (see schedule of times below)

For: Boys and Girls age 9-13

Our special guest staff includes visits from local head coaches in Pinellas County from Palm Harbor University High School, Countryside High School and AAU programs, and is sure to be a worthwhile experience for any camper interested in upgrading their competitive basketball skills.

Campers attending city run day camp programs at the same location where ITZ camps are operating are welcome to attend during their camp day.

Registration is site specific. Non-residents welcome at all locations.
All registrations are scheduled to open on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 9:00AM.
Registration is limited due to space requirements, register early to reserve your roster spot.

Please note, the purchase of a recreation card may be required in some locations (all are listed). Any camper interested in registering mid session can do so on a one-time prorated tuition basis, subject to availability.

BASKETBALL LEAGUE UPDATE-NO GAMES THIS WEEK

Largo ITZ Basketball League games are on Thanksgiving break this week, however the Junior Division will meet for training as usual on Tuesday from 5:00-6:00PM. League games resume on Saturday, December 6, 2008. The League Playoffs are scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2008.

Registration is now open for the 2009 Largo ITZ Youth Basketball League for boys and girls ages 5-8 (Juniors) and ages 9-16 (official league play) in person only at Highland Recreation Center.

Now playing is our television debut last winter on Pinellas County Connection TV (PCC-TV). ITZ campers from Clearwater's Zone Prime and Zone Club training camps participated in this Health Watch report in December, 2008 for Inside Pinellas This Week. More video podcasts are planned starting in 2009 during training camps, league play and special events, so check back often for updates.

CONDITIONING RECORD BROKEN

ITZ veteran campers Ernest Rillman and Noah Morris established new camper M-TAP training records last night, as the pair made 14 layups each through the M-TAP Ladder Drill in 90 seconds. The overall record of 15 made shots is held by Palm Harbor University High School basketball player Sarah White, a frequent contributer and junior counselor at In The Zone Hoop Camps. The challenge is to high step through an 8 foot flat training ladder and complete a shot and rebound, training continuously until time expires.
